Day #4

Welcome to Day #4 of The Loan Officer Project

Today we’re going to focus our attention on installing your WordPress Theme. The video below will walk you through how to install a theme. But please note, I’ve provided several nice themes below, in addition to a professional premium theme modified specifically for internet marketing. It’s modified for Search Engine Friendliness, and comes with many excellent features.

So you’re free to search for other theme sources if need be, but we have some excellent selections right here on this page:

On today’s call, we also discussed Generating links back to your website via blog commenting. You can experiment by commenting on my own blogs at: http://www.loanofficermarketinglab.com/blog and http://www.loanofficerunleashed.com – Tell the world your thoughts on the free training! :)

My blogs are rated at PR4 and PR5 respectively, so the backlinks will be valuable. Once you’ve completed this task, here is the downloadable guide of starter “Do Follow” blogs. Please limit yourself to relevant comments, and only 4 – 5 comments per day to kick things off. DOWNLOAD GUIDE HERE

Finally, we discussed widgets and great resources for widgets. I recommend two sites:

http://www.trulia.com/tools — Great resource for real estate specific widgets

http://www.widgetbox.com — You can search for nearly any widget imaginable – Mortgage calculators, maps, guides etc. Just resist the temptation to go overboard.

    Chad,
How would I add a 1003 Application to website and tabs on home page for other pages to sight? I downloaded firefox and finally got some progress on theme download.

  2. Yvonne Bond says:

I don’t remember my user name for feedburner, but I will try feedburner.com to look for support. Thanks for all the valuable information you have provided.

  3. Yvonne Bond says:

Is day 4 recorded? I didn’t get to hear about widgets because the audio was out.

  4. Parnell says:

    Chad,

Good afternoon and happy day to you. Thank you for the training that you’ve afforded Loan Originators that have had the foresight to look up in this time of down turn.

In the day 4 training you advised us to download the foxfire web browser because it is capable of telling us if the websites that we back link on are do follow or do not follow sites. What is the name of the app or the widget that we are to download once we have foxfire?

  5. Kevin Walton says:

    Hi Chad,

Great stuff! The guides from day 3 and 4 aren’t downloadable, the “click here” link isn’t working. Is there somewhere else I can get them?

  6. Greg says:

Thanks for all the great stuff. You’ve connected a lot of dots for me. Hope you have a great year!

  8. Hi Chad
I have taken your free training and it has been a wonderful resource. I just completed my website and have begun blogging. I have run across some issues when I have tried using the anchor text on active rain but hopefully I will get the kinks worked out.

    Thanks for all your help

  9. Thomas Hew says:

Well, you do have to entertain. otherwise, people just decide before hand that videos and manuals won’t teach them anything. -People think they already know it all.
